A bit of a catch up post this week. Popular books from the past few weeks are listed below as well. Plus more details on my housing situation. And I finally finished American Horror Story.
I moved into this house years ago. It had signs of water damage when I moved in but I assumed anything leaky had been fixed. I assumed wrong. And it has been a constant, many years long battle to have the repairs carried out, but they are finally occurring. And as it turns out, the house is worse than I thought. I may be a bit stressy for a few weeks. A) when I moved to Liverpool, it was with the intention to buy a house but obviously, the cunts around me wouldn't allow me to work and decided that I should be put through everything I had already gone through all over again (yes this included teachers at my son's school causing problems and expecting me to control his father) B) I will have to work from home while these repairs are carried out. So, I've been living in substandard housing for years despite having a plan for an alternative way to buy a house (being treated like shit by my family means I have no co-sign for a mortgage) and now it is finally being repaired. Hopefully properly this time (some basic repairs have been carried out on and off for all these years, but they never lasted beyond a few weeks, which is both expensive and stupid compared to fixing it right the first fucking time. But at least at the end of this, I can finally have the nice house I dreamed of living in while I was at university, even if I don't own it. I'll be able to redecorate. I probably won't have the money to tackle the room of shame this year, but the front room and my son's room will be made nice. Plus the back gate and wall (that is collapsing) are being fixed so I can finally throw out all those boards I've been using to keep my garden a bit more secure.
In other news, thank you for picking up my books. Had some real winners on godless these past few weeks. I haven't done this in a while but:
It feels strange not cooking a roast dinner this week because my son has been asking for them non-stop, but I have a short story to work on. So no updates to my drawing or We Gave the World Synthpop Dreams. Although there will be increased youtube videos. Please subscribe, comment, share and let's drown these creeps while hopefully hitting my actual target audience. The chores were completed yesterday as well, so should really make progress on this story. The plot is there but now I need to write it.
And I finally finished American Horror Story: NYC last night. I'm putting that in third place after 1984 and Hotel for my all time favourites. So, I am making sure I'm getting in relaxing time.
Here's a meme I stole from another author and posted on my facebook page. All I wanted to do was share it with my friend. Years ago, I bought him Turkish Delight. He was so excited about trying it despite my warnings of it being disgusting. I will never forget the look on his face. He was warned. And now we have another friend wanting to try it. But this meme has proven immensely popular, so if you aren't on my social media...

In other news, thank you for picking up my books. Had some real winners on godless these past few weeks. I haven't done this in a while but:
- Sex God: Ultimate Pleasure Machine. This is the first in a series, but much like Ketamine Addicted Pandas and Stef and Tucker, it is on the back burner. I have good intentions with it, but I just don't have the time right now. There will be more of them, when I'm less tired and over-worked. Definitely the biggest surprise on this list.
- The Dog Dies At The End. It isn't Christmas anymore, but I'm so glad people are picking up this one. Two of my weirder short stories. You won't look at Christmas decorations in the same way again.
- 30-50 Feral Hogs V. the Big Bad Unicorn. What can I say? Maybe you shouldn't fuck pigs? (Pig Fucker is likely to return from the dead to fuck the opposition this halloween).
- 56 Seconds. I wasn't sure how this one would do on godless. It is erotic-horror and prose poetry, so something very different to what is on godless. I'm still waiting on the rights to Becoming to come back to me, but there is a pre-qual. I hope the godless crowd is enjoying it. It'll be back in paperback and hardback 31st of March. And if you like Donnie and Marcy, there's more from them on this website: Donnie Couldn't See The Rotten Angel Wings, The Forest of the Dead and a quick note on 56 Seconds.
