Finally, the bizarro page. I think lately (August 2022) bizarro is what Dani Brown the Queen of Filth is known for, hence the extreme horror and disgusting body horror pages.
Some of the idiots in Liverpool liked to try to market Dani as the only female bizarro author in the UK, which just isn't true. But that's what happens when you don't get out much and are really insular. There's an entire British Bizarro Community and Dani is not the only woman in it. British Bizarro put out this great anthology a few years ago. The people in Liverpool would not listen when she told them that she's not the only one and that really pissed her off. As Dani has stated before one of the things she absolutely hated about growing up in the USA was how insular it was. When you live in an insular area abuse and cults flourish. (Dani is happy to finally learn that not everyone in Liverpool is an insular sex-crazed creep.)
When the idiots around Dani would object to her experimental stuff, she tried to write bizarro. There was too much stress around her and being dumped on for her to really succeed. She remains so unhappy with her early offering Middle Age Rae of Fucking Sunshine that all of Era Two is a combination of rewriting that and Reptile until she gets them right (although she has no objection to those who think these are her best books and knows of at least one person that claims Rae as their favourite book, she's just unhappy with them).
She didn't really feel like she got bizarro right until she somehow managed to set the stress aside for a few weeks and write Ghetto Super Skank. The stress was still about, but she woke up extra early before people could dump their shit on her for the day to get it done. Then she forgot about it, only rediscovering it when she changed computers. After that it sat unpublished on her computer for a few years collecting dust. Then she decided to self-publish. It was one of her early ones incase you can't tell by the cover.
In Ghetto Super Skank, Jo-Jo strings along men online. Her baby cries. But not all is as it seems.
And the second bizarro book the Queen of Filth wrote, probably about 18 months later was Sparky the Spunky Robot, which can be purchased in kindle and paperback but amazon didn't link them because they're bastards. Much like with Ghetto Super Skank, there was a lot of stress floating about. Some people tried to completely derail her career, badly hurting her child in the process. But she managed to finish writing Sparky. It took getting the damn inspirational robot tattooed on her arm, but she did (she will get Sandy eventually). This one she sent out to a publisher right away. In fact, she was working to a deadline, which probably kept her on track with it and the stress floating about.
In Sparky the Spunky Robot, Matthew has built a robot in his garden shed. Matthew is a failed popstar, married to Karen (who was named before the internet used the name as a description). Karen nags at him constantly. He uses the robot to take his load. Karen is too busy with her sex toys and books about the billionaire and bondage. One night, Sparky the Spunky Robot comes to life. But he doesn't have a voice. He discovers Suburban Hell's lost aspirations in their garden sheds.
Honourable bizarro mentions to Stef and Tucker (another one that sat forgotten on the Queen of Filth's computer until she self-published, although there were further complications in that it had been accepted with a publisher and sat forgotten with them for a few years before sitting on her computer, took the pandemic to finally find the time to learn to self-publish). Ketamine Addicted Pandas. This one is very extreme and very violent, but it is pandas and they're addicted to ket (addictive and not strong enough for pandas anyways) and they eat baboon brains (and human flesh). And of course, Stara (which gets an honourable mention in everything) starts off disgusting with the baby stew baths, gets violent with the forced abortions and ends on a very bizarro note (really, you're getting a bit of everything).
Please note: everything that Dani Brown has self-published is available on godless for cheaper. Type Dani Brown into the search (she would link to them all but is still having tech problems and really needs a new computer once this 'freelance isn't a real job' debt is paid). The stuff she has out through publishers is not on godless but some is it is available through platforms other than amazon.

I really hate the cover for Ghetto Super Skank. It was my second book cover. I do plan on re-doing it.
