It is Friday evening, I've finally been able to log in. I did last week's book sales via social media. It was a large variety of books so I can't remember them all. And I am only guessing as I don't keep a very good eye on these things, plus I have no idea how many copies of Sparky the Spunky Robot are selling because amazon's author central keeps telling me its sales ranking is unavailable (and has been doing this for awhile now).
I apologise in advance for typing errors, but it is Friday evening. This might be my only chance to post this week so best do it now before I have a bubble bath and crawl into bed. I am nearly at the stage where I can return to Snow White. Still finishing off October's release plus my book for Scumbags 2 though, but hopefully done by mid-August at the latest.
The crown for best sales of the week seems to be going to Reptile (again). Must be those flying ants. You'll never look at them again after reading Reptile. And you'll probably want to bathe (maybe in bleach). PS. The ebook can be found here for cheaper.
I think second place goes to Broccoli because why wouldn't it? Nothing like swimming in body fluids to wash down all those flying ants. Ebook is on godless.
If you like Reptile, be sure to check out Stara and Becoming (ps. Becoming is available for kindle, but I really recommend getting the paperback, this is about the only time I'm going to do this, but it is due to formatting, you don't miss any of the story with the kindle version but you do miss something). Stara is disgusting, violent and extreme but with some added weirdness. Becoming is just intense. If you are getting Stara in ebook, be sure to get it from godless. Becoming isn't on godless but I think it is available on other platforms or from bookstores (I have no idea how Deaths Head Press's distribution works, also Sparky is available from outlets other than amazon, but I also have no idea how Journalstone's distribution works).
Thank you so much for purchasing these books. Every July until about mid-August, my book sales tend to be towards the shit side, but not this year. And this year it helps out more than you can imagine. Before I can tackle the debt of the ten years between graduation and #metoo, I have to tackle the debt of "freelancing isn't a real job and I'm going to dump a bunch of word salad on you in public". The repayments are absolutely crippling, especially with the costs of everything going up so much. Once they're gone though, I'll be a step closer to being able to disappear (as was demonstrated when I was freelancing, I'm never going to be allowed to work and live my life in peace, disappearing is my only option to have a normal life where I can pay bills and buy food and clothing etc.). The royalties I earn from book sales or from selling print-on-demand art prints is ensuring I can buy clothes (school uniform pieces to purchase tomorrow) and have Christmas this year (plus my nails and hair expenses - I probably should have waited on the hair but it makes me feel so good, I'm leaving finishing off my tattoo until I'm on a repayment plan for the debt worked up in my name between graduation and #metoo). So thank you. It really helps me out. I hope you are enjoying the books that can be enjoyed and enduring while feeling disgusted with the others. Please leave a review (once I get some time there will be some reviews from the Queen of Filth).
I'm hoping to pick up some supplies for my cut-ups project tomorrow. Hopefully school uniform costs haven't gone up too much. My son just needs some trousers and shirts. These are unbranded, but he insists his clothing comes from Marks and Spencers (luckily school uniforms are on sale) as they are a lot more comfortable. So shopping tomorrow. Fun times, fun times (maybe I'll enjoy it more when I no longer have to count every penny). Then as I mentioned, I'm finishing off October's release and my Scumbags 2 story. Plus I need some rest. Next week is going to be a busy one. I can't say everything but I can remind you that Chester and Lester's Christmas in July Special will be out on Wednesday (only on godless, where it will remain exclusive). If you want to catch up on Chester and Lester, you can do so here (I haven't posted the stories in order on the Queen of Filth, mainly because Chester's Cloudy Ice was published and I had to wait for the one year contract to run out and when I updated, I didn't rearrange the order).
Here's some pictures of my cat watching pigeons. During the heatwave I had to keep the curtains shut, which made her sad. But the curtain is open again. Excuse the tumble drier hose.

If you look closely, the pigeon is looking at her ^ and below I remembered to open the curtains. I will need to go pull the 'weeds' (bird seed that has taken root) out from between the paving slabs again, but not this weekend.
