I am nearly done with the big projects I need to do before I start my new job. I still have to clean the house though before I can return to Snow White (at this stage I won't be sharing my playlist with anyone because I'm only listening to the same two bands and it'll totally give away what is going on in the story).
I have formatted Dark Roast and The Previous Plastic Surgeon (from Dual Depravity), both of these have new (if crappy) covers. I am going for a very basic cover design to keep them like Stara which I re-issued myself last year. Reptile and Ketamine Addicted Pandas are also formatted and waiting for new covers (that's my plan for tomorrow).
In regards to Night of the Penguins, I will be re-issuing it but later on in the year. When it was first published despite at least two rounds of edits some readers contacted me to say there were some issues with it so I'm going to go through it again. All 100k of it and see what I can do. I think it was just the beginning that had the issue. That poor book was written over several years between bouts of drama and sometimes while the drama was going on. I actually started it before I started Broccoli. So I'm sure these readers have a point. The book is too good to not republish. As of writing this, Night of the Penguins is still available on amazon. And JEA plan on keeping the Audible up.
Bring on me cleaning the house and doing some of the tasks I need to do prior to starting my new job. I'm also going to have to go shopping as I put on a bit of weight and my old smart causal clothes don't fit right now. If you're interested in helping me with new clothes you can donate to my fundraiser, dump money in my paypal (via Ko-Fi) or if you happen to have size 16 smart causal clothes that you no longer want and live local to me I will be forever grateful. I will be picking up some clothes from a friend tomorrow. But I still need trousers and a top (my pony top no longer fits). I'm good for shoes for a few months at least and for make up for at least one month. I'm sure I'll survive filing my nails myself and keeping them plain for the first few months of my dream job (until my clothing situation is completely sorted and my son has what he needs and I've worked out a budget).
The housing association is going to phone on Thursday. Hopefully I won't need a fundraiser for groceries and bills for that first month of employment. They're going to go through everything with me. I've been living hand-to-month for so long and I'm so excited to finally be moving forward with my life, however, I had just been looking for freelance and work from home pay per order jobs when I saw the dream job so I hadn't prepared myself from going from self employed to full time employment.
