If you follow my social media you will know I did not give the house a good top to bottom clean during the last Mercury retrograde. Although I don't strictly believe in astrology I do find it simplifies my life and Mercury retrograde is a brilliant time to schedule the big seasonal cleaning. With my new job starting soon the next Mercury retrograde isn't looking too promising either. So that means I need to get the house clean this weekend.
It is dusty in here. I won't be doing the front room until Monday. My son's Playstation is in there and he spent most of half term sick with a (non-COVID) cold. I also won't be doing the top of the kitchen cupboards this time around (which saves hours) as the housing association have phoned stating I am getting a new kitchen. Due to the new job starting soon they have kindly moved me down to the bottom of the list for this group of new kitchens but it will still happen before the end of the year.
I will have to find time in the spring to do the outside. Every spring it needs to be done. It is worse this year. Apart from having to uproot my rose bushes that did not survive last spring (I was hoping they'd bounce back) a few stray pigeons and their baby have decided to move in. Pigeons are messy if you don't have any experience with them (they also smell real bad but I have been unable to catch these ones). There's pigeon shit everywhere. And where I've thrown seed down some of it has taken root between the paving slabs. Then there's all the debris that has blown in over the autumn, winter and we still have spring to go. It is an absolute state out there.
My last massive computer task will probably have to wait until Thursday. At least if I finish cleaning the front room early on Monday I can work on Snow White and can work on it between the day job Tuesday and Wednesday as there just isn't time to start a new task until later on in the week.
PS I am fully aware of what is going on in the world. There is no need to inform me (or shout your opinions at me as if they are fact). I do not comment on these sorts of things. I have better things to do than argue with people online.
