I am so excited to say that Kevin Sweeney let me read Necro Sutra on Story Time this week. This short story has taken off after Tecnicinismo reviewed it on Tiktok (he also reviewed Stara).

Necro Sutra, as the name suggests is about necrophilia. I have put an age restriction on the video, but if youtube decide to take it down, I will set up an Only Fans account as soon as possible. 

In the meantime, hopefully it won't get taken down and enjoy. I suggest checking out more of Kevin's books. Although, I must confess, I need to leave a gap between reading his stories as they are a bit intense and really disgusting. 
He once left a review of Broccoli but not even that is as gross as his books and Broccoli features a sea of body fluids.

This week I have Starving Zoe by C. Derick Miller. This book has been stirring the shit pot over on social media. Why? It is historically accurate (this is a good thing, when things that need to be historically accurate aren't, it is problematic, I don't have the time to get into it, but sit there a minute and think about what happens when history is erased as is happening now) and he lost his job driving the train atSix Flags Over Texas for it. 

This is really important. I've posted about this before, but people projecting a creation onto the creator is fucking dangerous (whether the characters are historically accurate or complete figments of the author's imagination). Don't do it. It isn't acceptable behaviour. And it is dangerous. In my particular case, I assume people that do that are sex offenders, but that is putting my own experiences on top of it. At any rate, I've been speaking up about this for many years now and obviously, I still haven't been heard. Because if I was, C. Derick Miller would still be driving the train.

This week, Greg James donated another story to Friday Night Story Time titled The Girl in the Box. If you recall, we had another one of his stories a few weeks ago. You can find Greg's books here if you are in the USA. And here if you are in the UK. 

There won't be a story time next week. Next weekend, I can finally put the china horses and cats and dragons and random bits back in the china cabinet. I am so looking forward to having not just my front room back, but a better front room without a collapsing wall. That is only a few hour job, but I figure, I need to go into the cupboard under the stairs anyways, so I may as well clean it out. I'll be finding a charity to collect my son's old bed (it is in great condition, hopefully it'll bring joy to a six year old who will get more use out of it than my son did) so I might as well gather up everything else that is going to charity and get rid of it together. That second part is going to take an entire day. Plus I have to finish getting my Godless releases together for the rest of the year. And I have an iPad now, so I need to learn how to use mobile apps for graphic design and photography because every other employer is asking that you can use them. 

The weekend after that, I may or may not have a Story Time. I'm not sure about the weekend after that one. It depends on when I order my son's new bed and when it actually arrives, plus when I can have a charity come over and dismantle and take away the old bed (plus the stuff being donated, there's like school uniforms and stuff in there and I think there's a somewhat local charity that takes stuff like that to give away - not sell). We can't paint his room until the old bed is dismantled and his things he doesn't want right now are put in away in the now rat-free loft.

It is that time of the week again (okay, a bit late, I was filling in this monster of a job application, I have the interview based on my CV but I still needed to fill in that application form). Another one of my stories again this week. There has not been much progress on my house this week. Hoping for a different week during the upcoming one because I want to paint and put things away and clean. Basically, there's a problem with a gutter and the window can't be fixed until the gutter is. Gutter can't be fixed until scaffolding is put up. Scaffolding can't be picked up until cars are moved. One car was out there every day last week without moving despite the scaffolders leaving notes. So now my bins are in that spot, but we're still waiting for another car to move. Bin day is Monday so my bins will be moved, but hopefully there won't be any cars there and then the guttering can be fixed and my front room can be finished, then I can paint and put things away. 

Now, after all of that, this week's story has not be published before. I found it on my computer. I was going to do a bit of Ketamine Addicted Pandas, but then I saw In Love's Secret Domain. I never did anything with it. After reading it, I might expand it a bit because I like it. It introduces some new characters into Era Two - Sid and his lover (who never had a wife). 

Once my house is sorted out (except the room of shame) I'll start reading other author's stories again. Maybe have some guest readers. And I'll see to those lights, editing and branding. I'm not sure if there will be a Story Time next week. Even if I can't paint, I still need to go to B&Q and buy the paint. Plus it being payday next Friday, my cupboards will be empty so I'll need groceries, etc. So if I'm not there next week, tell your friends about my channel and let's show these creeps and that goddamn algorithm who is boss.

I skipped one week of Friday Night Story Time and the youtube algorithm decided I like creeps after all. So I'm going to have to try to do these every week while I'm under immense work-related stress and my house is being re-done. I even did a surprise mid-week video about how Ketamine Addicted Pandas is way dumber than Cocaine Bear and that people should read that (that one didn't get many views, so I'm not sure if that is being viewed by creeps or people genuinely interested in horror and bizarro).  

I'm hoping to be putting the first layer of paint on the walls on the 31st. Hoping. If you head over to my main blog, there will be a post about what happened this week as well as progress pictures. 

As right now things aren't very stable for me, I've decided not to ask other authors for stories while the work on my house is still being carried out. So, for the next few weeks, it'll be my stories only. Then it'll be back to normal, followed by getting some lights and some editing and proper branding onto these videos (those are skills I need to advance my marketing career anyways, things changed so much during those ten years between graduating and the me too movement).

Enough people liked this one that it received a cash prize. I can't remember what of the Shallow Waters Anthologies it is in, but I have stories in the first four.

I was uncertain last week if I'd be able to get a Story Time video up this week. And it didn't happen. My son has been really ill with trips to the walk in clinic and needing prescriptions, living off ice cream etc and then with my front room needing a wall coming down and a new damp proof one putting up, it just wasn't going to happen this week. 

I'm unlikely to have a new Story Time video up next week either. I'm either going to have to paint and put everything back or put everything back. I'm hoping for just the latter. I love painting walls but the weekend is only two days long and I want to put all my stuff back. There are piles and bags of books in every room in my house right now. Jerk Face is very upset (he doesn't like change). 

I will be back the week after next with a new Friday Night Story Time. This will be one of my stories. I can't wait. I also can't wait to have a decent home to live in (I think the last day of internal work is on the 30th, which is the deep clean of my son's room, then we'll redecorate in there in April and he obviously wants a new bed etc because we haven't been able to change the room as he's grown due to the problems in it, so my teenager has the bedroom of a six year old, which isn't very nice for him). 

Don't expect new lights and editing, etc until my house is completely sorted (minus the room of shame, that's a job for next year). But over the summer, I'll get the lights and editing and maybe even a backdrop sorted.

It is a slow process, but the algorithm is starting to pick up my videos with other horror themed videos instead of sending them to creep breeding grounds. Friday Night Story Time happened a few hours early this week due to some annual leave. That's a few extra hours to beat the creep algorithm.

This week Simon Bestwick lent me his story "Brokerage". 

There may or may not be Story Time next week or the week after. A wall in my front room is coming down due to rising damp on the 15th so I have to completely clear the front room and then once the new wall is up and the walls are repainted, put everything back again. I have already started. I only live in a two up two down so there isn't much space. Filming may be more difficult than usual. 

Once the front room is sorted, I'll buy some ring lights and a tripod. But give it a few weeks. And I will start working on my digital editing skills and start scheduling these.

Welcome to another Story Time. It is a day late and I am really sorry about that. I have PTSD and it has flared so badly it is unbelievable. I've been dealing with the reason why for the past two days. As if I didn't have enough AI problems. My entire Youtube channel is now devoted tobeating the algorithm. (I wish reincarnation followed by Cannibal Corpse lyrics for eternity on tech bros and their stupid fucking AI). 
I'm 24 hours delayed so that's less time to get those social media clicks in, which do help with the algorithm. It seems to pick up my videos on a Sunday, which is less than 2 hours away. 
​There was a positive change from last week's video. It was very small, but it was still there. So hopefully, even with the 24 hour delay, I will have another positive change. Although the creeps are nearly on 40k views of that one troublesome video (second hyperlink, anchored to 'beating the algorithm). 
Thank you Greg for your story. I don't have one lined up for next week yet. But I will get one and I obviously have plenty of my own.

I already have a story for next week and I'm waiting for one more. Then I might read another one of mine. I will start to schedule these properly so you can look forward to a story by a particular author rather than have a surprise. Let me worry about my house being sorted out first though.
